The Electrician Challenge · Last updated July 30, 2026
1. The challenge
The Electrician Challenge (the “Challenge”) is a skills competition in which participants work through a set of simulated electrical service scenarios. Each scenario is a role-play with an automated customer, followed by a safety review of what you would do on the job. It is a practice simulation — not a real service call, and not professional or safety advice.
2. Eligibility
The Challenge is open to practicing or licensed electricians who are 18 or older, where permitted by law. You may only enter using an email address that has been invited or approved for access. One person per email address.
3. How to enter — free
No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win. Sign in with your approved email and complete the scenarios. Entry closes and the winner is determined at the end of August 2026.
4. Scoring & winner selection
Each scenario is scored on safety judgment, technical accuracy, and communication using an automated evaluation with human review. The participant with the highest total score across the scenarios wins. Ties are broken by the earliest completion time. The organizer’s scoring and selection decisions are final. The winner will be contacted by email and may be asked to confirm eligibility before the prize is awarded.
5. Prize
One prize of US $100 will be awarded to the highest-scoring participant, selected at the end of August 2026. The prize is non-transferable and has no cash alternative beyond the stated amount. The winner is responsible for any taxes on the prize. If the winner cannot be reached or is ineligible, the organizer may select the next-highest scorer.
6. Recordings & your data
Your sessions — including audio you record, transcripts, and your scenario responses — are captured, transcribed, scored, and stored so the Challenge can be judged. Your responses are reviewed and may be used to evaluate your skills and to contact you about the Challenge and related opportunities. We do not sell your personal information. By entering, you consent to this recording, processing, and storage.
7. Fair play
Submit your own work. Do not use another person’s answers, share scenario content, or attempt to manipulate the scoring. The organizer may disqualify any entry it believes is fraudulent, automated, or in violation of these terms.
8. Changes & cancellation
The organizer may modify, suspend, or cancel the Challenge, or update these terms, at any time — for example if the Challenge cannot run as planned. Material changes will be posted on this page.
9. No warranty
The Challenge is provided “as is.” The scenarios are simulations for practice and evaluation and must not be relied on as electrical, safety, or professional advice. Always follow applicable codes and your own professional judgment on real work.
